Joshua Paredes is a registered nurse based in San Francisco, CA. He currently works on a cardiovascular thoracic step-down unit and has professional experience in emergency medicine and behavioral health.
Early in his career, Joshua recognized the barriers to accessible mental health treatment. His personal experience working as a nurse galvanized his purpose to dismantle those barriers The strong community response in the aftermath of his friend and colleague, Michael Odell’s suicide; compelled Joshua to honor his life by starting Don’t Clock Out with his friends.
He is purpose-bound to destigmatize mental health issues and clear the way to make treatment accessible for all.
