The Covid-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on the mental health of individuals worldwide, including healthcare professionals who have been at the forefront of the response effort. In this session, we will explore the impact of the pandemic on clinician burnout and discuss strategies to address this issue in a post-Covid world.
We will review the factors that contribute to burnout, such as long working hours, high patient loads, and lack of support, and examine how the pandemic has exacerbated these issues. We will also explore the role of organizational and individual interventions in reducing burnout and promoting resilience, including mindfulness-based approaches, supportive leadership, and workplace policy changes. By the end of this session, participants will have a better understanding of the impact of the pandemic on clinician burnout and practical strategies for addressing this issue in their own practices and organizations.
