Dr. Johnson completed psychiatry residency and was chief resident of Psychiatric Emergency Services at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine/University Hospital. She is a board certified adult psychiatrist with expertise in women’s mental health issues such as premenstrual dysphoric disorder and perinatal mood, anxiety, and psychotic disorders. She is Chief Medical Officer at Lindner Center of HOPE in Mason, OH and an Assistant Clinical Professor in the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neurosciences. Dr. Johnson is Chair of the Ethics Committee of the Ohio Psychiatric Physicians Association and a Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association. She is on the Board of Directors of the International Society of Reproductive Psychiatry and a member of the Ohio Pregnancy-Associated Mortality Review committee. Dr. Johnson is a reviewer for mental health content on UpToDate.com and womenshealth.gov. She is co-author of the book "The Chronicles of Women in White Coats" and has written for websites such as KevinMD.com and Doximity Op-Med. She has been interviewed for several news shows, podcasts, and publications, including The Atlantic, Bustle, and Spectrum News. Dr. Johnson has presented on mental health topics relating to women and minorities. She was selected as one of Cincinnati Magazine's Top Doctors in 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022 and NAMI Southwest Ohio's 2020 Exemplary Psychiatrist.
